Services

We are here to supply you with the needed electric motor for your conversion. From the following pictures, you can see the process for converting a vechile. After the conversion process is over, NO more trips to the gas station! All you have to do is plug it up when you get home! You can operate this EV on about $1 to $1.50  of electricity per 40 miles.

  • Warp Motors by NetGain Technologies

With a Warp Motor, you will be well on your way.  You can also see other great NetGain products at:  www.go-ev.com

  • Transmission Adapters

We now have availible transmission adapters for the S-10 pick-up transmission to a Warp Motor.  They are made of aluminum to keep the weight down.  This will include the motor coupling and bellhousing adapter (you have to supply a clutch disk for your transmission).  This will be a clutchless system (we use the old clutch disk to mate to your existing transmission). There are a couple pictures of our adapters below.  Motor adapters vary in price from application to application, but we can do a late model S-10 adapter kit for about $950.00 (You supply the clutch disk)  We are also working on a motor mounting design for the Warp Motors.  There are also some other pictures at: http://evalbum.austinev.org/1477

Give us a call for other applications.  229-254-1682

We now have coupler adapters for the front 7/8" shaft on the Warp 9 motor.

Note that the pulley (from the 2.2 liter engine) bolts directly to the adapter hub that is made to install on the shaft of the motor.  This can be used to drive an alternator or A/C compressor, or both from the end of your motor.  Call us for pricing,  in stock now.

  • We also accept VISA and MASTERCARD.

The Begining of Conversion:

The beginning of a conversion! This engine that you see here will soon be replaced by this   Warp 9  motor.

Removing the truck bed in order to install the battery racks.  The bed will be able to be tilted for easy access to the batteries.

All Cleaned Up.  I had to pressure wash the whole truck,  the previous owner lived on a dirt road and it was filthy.  ;^)

I removed the power Steering Gear for installation of a Manual steering gear box

Working On Battery Boxes.  I had toremove the cross bracing in the frame of the truck to make room for the new battery boxes,  there will be steel tubing welded in to replace the factory crossmembers.

Here is the motor to transmission coupling adapter.  This is a clutchless design,  we are not using the clutch.  The ring is the old clutch disk from the transmission that we use to spline up to the transmission input shaft.  We drilled out the old rivits and used 5/16 grade 8 bolts to attach the clutch center to the motor coupler.  That way we still have the damping effect of the clutch disk springs.  The transmissions in the S-10's and Ford Rangers shift really well without the clutch.  We feel it also reduces rotating mass on the drive system. An adapter plate and motor coupling will cost $750.00.  We need your old clutch disk to mate to the motor coupler.  We also have a motor mount system that we are working on that allows you to use motor mounts where your old ICE engine mounts attached to the truck.  This will eliminate the need for a torque rod on your transmission. It is made of 1/2" aluminum and steel, and will bolt to the front of your warp 9 motor.  We will have somemore pics of this later.

Tapping 1/2" holes for the rubber motor mounts.

Rubber motor mounts installed.

Test fit into truck, see mounting bars on the left and right of the motor.  Alternator mounted on the right side of this picture.  Also can mount a A/C compressor on the other side.  The mounting bars have been made, and are bolted to the transmission bolts at the rear, and the plate at the front of the motor.

Here is a picture of my rear battery box, it will hold 6 batteries, can add 2 more to it if needed.  Also if you look close,  you can see the hinge mount plates for mounting the bed back on the truck.

Here is the installation of the mid-mounted battery racks, they will hold 12 batteries combined, left and right of the drive shaft.

Here is a good picture of my Alternator setup.  I will use the alternator to maintain charge on my 12 volt system.

More pictures to come as the process continues.
